Walz Caps: Supporting the USBRS

What do Walz Caps and Adventure Cycling Association have in common, other than being fans of cyclists and cycling in general? Both are working to build the U.S. Bicycle Route System (USBRS)!

Walz Caps came on initially as a sponsor of our Build It. Bike It. Be A Part of It. campaign for the USBRS this past May. They even helped us create a special cycling cap for the U.S. Bicycle Route System, which you can pick up on their website. We are pretty excited about the cap because it is so much more than just a fashion accessory! If you buy a USBRS cycling cap, not only will you look cool and chic while riding, but you'll be helping to build a national network of bicycle routes: Walz Caps donates $5 to the USBRS for every cap sold.

Some of the Adventure Cycling staff recently bumped into Walz Caps' owner, Mike Gilstrap at Interbike, the bike industry trade show. And wouldn't you know, he was even wearing his USBRS cycling cap! You can watch Mike talking about Walz Caps and their commitment to help build the U.S. Bicycle Route System in this video, and visit their website to get your cap today.

If you are one of the many riders who have taken [...]

Guise Edge and Norwood Edge Hill Climb

Saturday was a two stage hill climb promoted by Otley CC. Talking to Sam Ward (Otley CC) before the event, we realised we both did this event as schoolboys 19 / 20 years ago. Sam was probably the person who first gave me the idea to have a go at hill climbs. In those days, [...]
