Thanksgiving Roll Call Day 5: ?Support?

Yes.  I know that an intoxicating evergreen scented wreath adorns your front door, you are envisioning prancing reindeer on top of your roof, and you are currently enjoying an egg nog latte at your computer desk.  But to me, I am still dreaming of Thanksgiving.  Christmas may be coming upon us, and we are supposed [...]

Where Was I?

As I typed this, I was away from my home base of Missoula, Montana. I enjoyed some warmer -- though somewhat windy -- weather and lots of talk about bicycle travel. Where do you think I've been?

Cyclist Emergency Kit! Whats in yours?

One of the things that amaze me about some cyclist is when I see them with out a saddle bag on there bike, of course they could have all the necessary kit some where else on there person but if you are a serious cyclist it would be hard for me to believe that you have never had a puncture or any other mechanical problem whilst commuting our out riding your bike, so then when the inevitable does happen how well prepared are you. Me and my son have nearly built a whole bike with not much more than a multi tool, so if you are new to the security of a while stocked saddle bag I hope this short post will help you. Most of the this points below I have gained by either experienceing said problems or witnessing things that can go wrong. With this comprehensive list all angles should be covered.

Whilst your typical bike light is outputting around 20 Lumens of light it?s easily possible to get hold of lights that emit 1,200 Lumens or more. Needless to say this is often overkill for London?s roads but can be useful down country lanes with no other light sources. Have you ever been dazzled by bright [...]
