Bagworks Builds the USBRS

Hello to all you dedicated adventure cyclists and bicycle advocates!

We are in the fourth week of our Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It. fundraiser for the U.S. Bicycle Route System (USBRS). We have had a lot of support thus far and are currently looking at a grand total of $23,450. We still need your help to reach our $50,000 goal by May 31st.

Help us today by making a donation to meet a $2,500 fundraising challenge posed by one of our business supporters, Stan's NoTubes. Also, everyone who donates today is entered to win a handcrafted handlebar bag and recycled TransAm map wallet, created by our very own Paul Hansbarger. This is an exclusive offer, so donate today by 11:59pm EST to win!

Would you like to know more about Paul and his company Hans Bagworks?

Hans Bagworks is a "part-time labor of love" started by Missoula resident and Adventure Cycling staff member Paul Hansbarger, who was inspired by his own touring experience and love of hand-crafted goods to start sewing bicycle bags for himself and friends. Hans Bagworks makes a variety of handmade messenger bags, handlebar bags, frame bags, and other accessories for bicycle touring, bikepacking, and everyday use. In addition to bicycle bags, Hans Bagworks designs a line of simple, yet functional wallets and smart phone cases re-purposed from out-of-date Adventure Cycling Bicycle Route maps. Every Hans Bagworks creation is made one at a time by Paul and his fiance Jessica in their home in Missoula, Montana.

Paul's motivation for building the U.S. Bicycle Route System?

"I first discovered Adventure Cycling Association while planning a tour of my own on the Southern Tier a few years ago, and have been a dedicated fan of the magazine, maps, and resources ever since. The USBRS is an exciting project and I'm excited to donate one of my handmade bags in hopes that it will help raise some needed funds and attention for a network of bicycle routes in the U.S."
